Costume: 17th Century Gold Metallic Rococo Lace Upcycled Metallic Gold "Belle" Gown
Costume: 17th Century Gold Metallic Rococo Lace Upcycled Metallic Gold
This gown redesign was my vision of Belle that married the original 17th century Rococo time period when the original story was written by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve, the 90's Disney cartoon and the live action film that followed. The gown base was constructed from a metallic gold iridescent fabric lined in red satin. The neckline was cut square and trimmed with vintage reclaimed lace. The belle sleeves were also constructed with a mix of vintage and recycled fabrics. the circle patterns at the hem are sheer.
In the photoshoot images the dress is shown with a hoop skirt which is not included with the costume/garment.
